WestBridge provided a safe, comfortable, supportive environment in the early days
of our son's sobriety. He said that he felt like he was on vacation. I think he meant
physically, because of the comfortable living quarters and excellent meals, but
mentally he was working very hard.

Dr. Zev Schuman-Olivier of WestBridge Community Services will be presenting at Northeast Counseling Center Directors Conference on Mindfulness-Oriented Treatments for Young Adults with Substance Abuse.
WestBridge will be hosting and co-sponsoring a two-day summit of national thought leaders in the field of Co-Occurring Disorders. WestBridge is joined by other co-sponsors NAADAC and Hazelden in an effort to begin formulating Scopes of Practice that will guide varying professionals in the delivery of services to persons who experience co-occurring mental illness and substance use disorders. The summit is being held at WestBridge’s newest facility, located in Brooksville, FL, March 2 and 3, 2012.

With the addition of our new location in Brooksville, Florida, WestBridge has also expanded the Customer Relations Department. Norm Asselin has moved and is working out of the Brooksville office. Robin Banker and Jay Beausoleil are new to the team and will be working out of the Manchester NH office. John McAndrew is our new National Representative and will be working out of his home office in Tennessee.

WestBridge welcomes Judy Magnon, RN-BC, BS, CAC as the Program Director for our new Brooksville, FL facility, scheduled to open in March 2012. Judy comes to WestBridge with a background in directing Assertive Community Treatment teams. She was named Mental Health Administrator of the Year in 2000 by NH-NAMI, was a finalist for Nursing Spectrum’s Nurse of the Year award in 1998 and was Employee of the Year in 2005 at her previous position, for her performance during Hurricane Charley in Charlotte County.
WestBridge veteran staff member, Norm Asselin of Customer Relations, relocated from the New Hampshire office to help spearhead the new Florida facility. Brooksville is lucky to have him!

WestBridge hosted their annual Summer Networking Luncheon on June 1st. The luncheon featured guest speaker Elaine Krause, Creative Director at Griffin York & Krause and a delicious fiesta meal prepared by Chef Suzanne Wallack. View Photos from the event.
WestBridge hosted its first annual Family Weekend entitled “A Weekend of Hope”. Festivities included a presentation by Robert Drake, Ph.D., of Dartmouth Medical School; group sessions designed for families to share experiences and build support systems; musical performances by participants; stand-up comedy by Tony V and Jack Lynch; and a classic New England clam bake.

WestBridge Breaks Ground on New Facility in Brooksville, Florida on February 8, 2011. WestBridge took another step in the creation of their second residential facility on February 8, 2011 by breaking ground in Brooksville Florida. Mary Woods, CEO was the master of ceremonies and set the stage for a wonderful celebration of the hard work and dedication to those that have been an integral part of the process to get the residential facility off the ground. Many local supporters made their way to the groundbreaking ceremony to be a part of WestBridge history and meet some of the WestBridge staff. The community has been very supportive of WestBridge and WestBridge thanks all that were in attendance.

On December 6, WestBridge hosted the inaugural Roundtable Discussion series for Boston Area Higher Education Professionals. The event was hosted by Medical Director, Dr. Mark Green, and OnCOURSE Student Services Liaison, Brittney Cross. The focus of the discussion was "Social Media Effects on the Mental Health of College Students." The event also included guest moderator: Joe Pyle, MA - President of The Scattergood Foundation.
